The Board of Directors provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Complexe Islamique du Fiqh au Canada.

Role: Ensures that programs, initiatives, and platforms (Fiqh.ca, IslamicFiqhComplex.com, MuslimJurists.ca) align with the mission and values of the complex.

Approving policies and strategic plans

Overseeing financial sustainability and donor engagement

Supporting the Academy and Fatwa Hub in their educational and scholarly missions

Representing the complex in national and international forums

The Board of Trustees safeguards the long‑term vision and legacy of the complex.

Role: Acts as guardians of the institution’s mission, ensuring continuity, integrity, and global credibility.

Building partnerships with governments, institutions, and international fiqh councils

Guiding expansion into new educational and humanitarian initiatives

Our Story
The Complexe Islamique du Fiqh au Canada was born in February 2021 in Montreal, with a vision to unite scholars, jurists, and educators under one umbrella. From its earliest days, the complex sought to bridge timeless Islamic wisdom with the realities of modern life, offering guidance that is authentic, accessible, and empowering.
As the initiative grew, the head office was established in Ottawa, the national capital of Canada, to strengthen engagement with institutions, government, and communities across the country. Today, the complex stands as the largest Islamic Fiqh institution in the world, bringing together more than 150 professors, scholars, and jurists who contribute to its mission of education, jurisprudence, and community empowerment.
Through affiliated platforms — Fiqh.ca, IslamicFiqhComplex.com, Fiqh.me, Fiqh.online and MuslimJurists.ca — the complex has expanded its reach digitally, making scholarship available to families, youth, and professionals across Canada and internationally.
Like the majestic Niagara Falls, our story is one of abundance: a continuous stream of wisdom, flowing from centuries of scholarship into the lives of communities today. Each ruling, each program, and each initiative is part of this living river of knowledge — nurturing resilience, dignity, and hope for generations to come.
