1. Project Overview

The Islamic Fiqh Complex of Canada is implementing three major national initiatives designed to strengthen Canada’s educational, academic, and community infrastructure. These initiatives respond to national priorities in education, youth empowerment, multiculturalism, social cohesion, and community resilience.

The three projects are:

The Islamic Scholarly Academy – a national academic institution offering structured Islamic education, research capacity, and leadership development.

The International Islamic Conference – August 2026 – a national platform for scholarly dialogue, policy engagement, and community development.

The Peer‑Reviewed Quarterly Scientific Journal – an established academic publication with three issues published, each containing more than five double‑blind‑reviewed research papers.

2. Project 1: Islamic Scholarly Academy

2.1 Purpose and Vision

The Islamic Scholarly Academy is envisioned as the first academically governed Islamic educational institution in Canada, offering structured, accredited programs that meet Canadian academic standards.

Its purpose is to:

Provide high‑quality Islamic education

Develop community leadership

Strengthen youth identity and resilience

Support research in Islamic legal and social issues

Promote civic engagement and social cohesion

2.2 Core Components

Academic Programs: Diplomas, certificates, chaplaincy training

Research Centre: Islamic jurisprudence, family studies, ethics

Digital Learning Platform: Virtual classrooms, certification pathways

Youth & Family Programs: Identity, mental health, resilience

Professional Training: Imams, chaplains, educators, community leaders

3. Project 2: International Islamic Conference – August 2026

3.1 Purpose

To convene national and international experts to address issues of identity, family, youth, social cohesion, and community development, while promoting dialogue, policy engagement, and inter‑institutional collaboration.
